A Tale of Two Stamps

This year has been about challenging myself with new techniques and this month is no different. I watched a video on alcohol ink transfer and it's amazing. The only drawback is I can't duplicate the backgrounds unless I make a copy and all of my cards are hand inked backgrounds so copying for me is a no no. The cards I'm sharing with you today were literally cut from the same ink lift and look at the color differences. I love them.

To make the background I used several colors of alcohol ink and Yupo Paper. Once I was happy with the combination I used an alcohol lift solution and applied a thin layer across the whole page and covered it with a plain sheet of white card stock, rubbed it thoroughly and I lifted it to make these fabulous backgrounds.

I only used 2 stamps on each of these cards each card looks so different. I highlighted my moon with a paper mask and added some Nuvo Drops to each. One of the cards I matted with gold and the other with just a brown mat. I couldn't be happy with them, but I will definitely be making more backgrounds.
