"The bird is powered by his own life and by it's motivation." A. P. J. Abdul Kalam

Crows are my thing and my kids think I'm a bit nuts because of it, but they fascinate me. When I first saw the "Be My Bird" sentiment; I knew I was going to love this kit and I have used it several times.

Card is A2 (4.25" x 5/5")

  • Using a base weight 8.5" x 11" piece of card stock- cut at 5.5" on the long side and score again on the long side at 4.25". Burnish your card on the scored side- the fibers will be broken and the fold will be cleaner.

  • I used a dark yellow card stock and some matching scrapbook paper. (Note- each of my mat layers is are 1/8" smaller than the layer before it.)

  • I used the "April 2017 Kit of the Month" bird on a branch and the Be My Bird sentiment.

  • Ink Colors: Espresso.

  • I used white card stock to stamp off my bird and inked the edges.

  • I used a medium oval die and cut the center of the card stock and added dimensionals to give a window effect.

  • Using a piece of scrap white card stock- I stamped my sentiment and gave it a duck tail and added yellow Nuvo drops for even more texture.
