As school sessions come to a close for the summer, we all start thinking about vacations. Show us what your summer destination looks like. I live in the mountains and we have a gorgeous lake that I love to visit.
Isn't it amazing how much stuff we get done the day before vacation?~ Zig Ziglar
To make this A2 size card I used:
Black card stock- This will be your card base and should be 4.25"x 11". Score your card at 5.5" and fold. Remember, turn your card over to fold~ the paper fibers will already be broken and you will have a smoother fold.
Very Vanilla card stock- This is the mat layer of your card. Cut this piece to 4" x 5.25"- you will need 2 of these. If you want to see less of the black, cut your mat bigger.
Cut a 3.25"x 3.25" square of black and a 3"x 3" square of Very Vanilla.
Cut one strip of vanilla at 1.5", one at 2.5 inches and one at 1".
I used Stampin' Up's Wetlands for this card.
I only used black ink with this card- using the cattails stamp- ink across the top strip of vanilla paper. The goose will be stamped on your square vanilla piece and matted. o dark using the different stamps on my very vanilla- the great thing about this card is that each one can be an original.
I used a wood grain embossing folder to get the wood look.
I added a few Black Nuvo Drops for a little flair.
Now layer your card and use the sentiment of your choice. This is a great card for most occasions.
I hope you come take a look and submit with us at at Crazy 4 Challenges!
